Meet Our 2025-2026 Directors

President Team

President Directors are responsible for contacting dental school faculty and admissions representatives to coordinate dental school visits which entail an informative presentation from a representative from the dental program provide valuable information about the school, followed by a live Q&A session. President Directors also host Journal Clubs, helping facilitate discussions on current topics, research, and information about the dental world to help members practice their public speaking skills. Directors are also capable of answering members’ questions about their pre-dental journeys and offering personalized advice or guidance.

Vice President Team

Vice President Directors help oversee the PDSA Shadowing Program and guide members through the shadowing process. They monitor the shadowing sheet, maintain communication with an assigned dentist, and send weekly emails with the list of shadowers to that doctor. Directors conduct 1:1 meetings with members interested in shadowing, reviewing the club’s rules, general etiquette, and tips for those new to the program. Directors also present at non-clinical workshops covering topics such as DAT preparation, the AADSAS application, professionalism, and more. They help guest speakers get settled during club meetings and support a welcoming atmosphere for members. 

Treasury Team

Treasury Directors assist in managing PDSA’s financial operations and work closely with the Treasurer to ensure accurate record-keeping and successful fundraising execution. They help plan and oversee partial proceeds events, merchandise sales, and fundraisers from initial outreach to budgeting and documentation. Directors also help design and distribute official PDSA merchandise and collaborate with local businesses or franchises to coordinate partnerships. In addition, Treasury Directors help organize financial workshops such as “How to Build a Practice” and the “Financial Scholarship Workshop,” providing members with insight into financial literacy and professional growth. They also assist in coordinating the annual PDSA Banquet alongside the Treasurer and Banquet Committee, ensuring a successful and memorable end-of-year celebration.

Volunteer Team

Volunteer Coordinator Directors oversee all clinical and non-clinical volunteer opportunities available to PDSA members. They manage sign-ups for recurring service events such as DCAF Knights Clinic, DCAF Dental Days, Love Serving Autism, and Special Smiles. Directors send event confirmations and maintain waitlists to keep events organized and efficient. They attend and lead  these volunteer events, ensuring that PDSA members, community partners, community members, and patients all have the best possible experience. In addition, they help establish new community partnerships while maintaining strong relationships with our existing ones. Directors also monitor and respond to messages received through the volunteering channel, assist members with questions and guide them toward opportunities that align with their interests.

Dental Education Team

Dental Education Directors are responsible for organizing and executing a wide range of clinical workshops that support members’ hands-on learning and professional development. They oversee event logistics, create and manage sign-ups, and ensure smooth communication with attendees. A big part of their role includes researching workshop topics to provide accurate, up-to-date content, and being well-prepared to answer any questions that members may have. Some of the workshops they help with include Instrumentation and Dentistry: Behind the Scenes, providing insight into clinical tools and procedures. As well as more hands-on events such as Composite and Suture workshops, giving members the opportunity to practice essential clinical techniques. By managing both the behind-the-scenes planning and the educational content, Dental Education Directors ensure each workshop is engaging, well-organized, and valuable to every member’s dental journey.

Secretary Team

Secretary Directors support the Secretary in maintaining the organizational infrastructure of PDSA. They help manage the club's point system, tracking member participation and engagement throughout the semester. Secretary Directors also assist with the PDSA Weekly email newsletter and the PDSA Post flyer presented at general body meetings. They help manage the PDSA Discord server as a welcoming and collaborative environment where members and leadership can connect and share resources. Directors also play a key role in planning and coordinating PDSA social events that build community.

Media Relations Team

Media Relations Directors help their Officer oversee the attendance and documentation of all PDSA events. They manage the organization’s social media platforms which include Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and the podcast. They are in charge of creating graphics such as stories, flyers, and reminders, as well as maintaining a consistent professional, online presence. Directors monitor and filter messages received through social channels, respond to member inquiries, and drive online engagement to expand our reach. They also coordinate and host tabling events, distributing promotional items while actively advocating for the club.
